Theatre course for children aged 6 to 9 organised by the Dante Alighieri Society and the Italian Bookshop Luxembourg.
This activity offers a fun and engaging theatrical experience incorporating a range of techniques such as drama games, concentration exercises, improvisation, and the use of masks and puppets. The aim is to embark on a creative journey with friends, culminating in the performance of a short play in June.
A standard session typically includes:
- Physical and vocal warm-ups
- Concentration development activities
- Group games to encourage teamwork
- Creative exercises and improvisation practice
- Skits
Throughout the experience, participants will have the opportunity to use the Italian language creatively, enhancing their imagination, concentration, memory, and self-esteem. They will also develop a sense of loyalty and respect for others in a collaborative environment.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing to allow freedom of movement during the sessions.
Jana Montorio, originally from the Czech Republic, is a multilingual theatre teacher and playwright, naturalised Italian. She is passionate about collective creations and offers improvisational theatre workshops for all ages, with extensive experience working with children and adolescents.

Schedule: Sunday from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Duration: 15 sessions of 1.5 hours each for a total of 22.5 hours

The last two dates of the course will be two consecutive days for the dress rehearsal (Saturday 14th June) and the performance (Sunday 15th June 2025). The venue for the show will be communicated later.
