Theater course for girls and boys aged 10 to 13
organized by the Società Dante Alighieri and the Italian Bookstore Luxembourg.
Instructor: Jana Montorio
This activity offers a fun and engaging theatrical experience, incorporating various techniques like dramatic games, concentration exercises, improvisation, and the use of masks and puppets. The aim is to embark on a creative journey with friends, culminating in the performance of a short play in June.
A standard class typically includes:
– Physical and vocal warm-up exercises
– Activities to develop concentration
– Group games to facilitate teamwork
– Creative exercises and improvisation practice
– Skits
Benefits for students:
Through this experience, participants will have the opportunity to use the Italian language creatively, improving their imagination, concentration, memory, and self-esteem. Additionally, they will cultivate a sense of loyalty and respect for others in a collaborative environment.
Prerequisites:
Participants are required to wear comfortable clothing to allow ease of movement during sessions.
Jana is a multilingual playwright and theater teacher, of Czech origin, naturalized Italian. Passionate about collective creations, she designs improvisational theater workshops for all ages, with extensive experience working with children and teenagers.

Schedule: Sunday from 16:45 to 18:15
Duration: 15 sessions of 1.5 hours each, totaling 22.5 hours

Classes will be held at the Società Dante Alighieri headquarters, rue St. Ulric 25, Luxembourg (Grund).
The last two sessions include consecutive days with the dress rehearsal (Saturday, June 14) and the performance on Sunday, June 15, 2025. The venue for the performance will be announced later.
