DAY 1
Morning:
Presentation of the workshop and Masterclass on stage comedy writing (1h30)
The first day of this workshop begins with a masterclass that introduces participants to the world of comedy writing for the stage. The workshop facilitator, a professional comedian, introduces himself and explains his background, as well as the different facets of his profession, from writing to putting it to the test on stage. The objective of this session is twofold: to create a climate of goodwill and trust among the participants, and to allow them to share the themes they wish to address in their sketches. Before diving into the development of jokes, the emphasis is placed on the importance of choosing a specific subject and angle, because a good angle is the key to generating effective and impactful jokes.
Stage play workshop (1h30)
To energize the morning, a practical stage acting workshop is offered. Participants are invited to experiment with their bodies to anchor themselves from the first seconds on stage, based on the angle chosen for their subject. Humor is not limited to words: it is essential to fully embody your subject, and this also involves bodily expression. The exercises in this workshop aim to develop this physical dimension of comic performance.
Afternoon :
Group writing workshop (1h30)
The afternoon begins with a group writing workshop. Participants work on transforming their initial ideas into jokes, both individually and collectively. This exercise highlights the importance of a good angle, as it is the foundation of effective jokes. The exchange of ideas and constructive feedback helps refine each person's sketches and enrich the creative process.
Stage play workshop (1 hour)
Then, participants have the opportunity to test the jokes they created in the workshop during a stage session. This exercise aims to demonstrate that personal fun with one's own ideas is essential to making others laugh. By sharing their creations on stage, they discover the importance of a clear angle for effective and humorous communication.
Group debriefing (30 minutes)
The first day ends with a collective debriefing. Participants share their impressions and feedback on the day, and together, they summarize the key points to remember. An exercise is given to extend the work of reflection and writing in preparation for the second day.
DAY 2

Masterclass on stage practice (1h30)
The second day begins with a masterclass that recaps the writing techniques covered the day before and the importance of developing one's own point of view to give a unique angle to each sketch. The host emphasizes that humor is above all a performing art, and that the real practice is done by performing in front of an audience. The goal of this session is to remind participants that it is not about playing at being a comedian, but about fully committing to the practice of humor. The masterclass concludes with a question-and-answer session to clarify any doubts participants may have.

Participants are then invited to present the first two minutes of their sketch, incorporating the improvements made the day before. This exercise allows them to put into practice the advice received and to test the new jokes in real conditions. This is a crucial step in refining their stage performance and validating the effectiveness of their comedy material.

The afternoon is dedicated to a new group writing workshop. Participants are tasked with improving their sketch and jokes, or clarifying their angle if inspiration is blocked. Everyone advances at their own pace, respecting their own creative process. This workshop allows them to refine their sketches while benefiting from the feedback and diverse perspectives of the other participants.
Stage play workshop (1 hour)
The day continues with a session of sharing new jokes on stage. Participants have three minutes each to present their sketch during a mini internal set. This moment includes a preparation time to refine their performance and ensure that every detail is in place to captivate their audience.
Group debriefing (30 minutes)
Finally, the second day ends with a group debriefing. Participants express their feelings and share their feedback on the two days of the workshop. Together, they summarize the lessons and techniques to remember. This moment of collective reflection allows us to synthesize what we have learned and prepare participants to continue their development as comedians.
Main objective of the workshop:
The workshop aims to teach how to generate strong and memorable ideas for the audience by exploring the thought process in depth. By learning to find a relevant angle and having fun with their own ideas, participants discover how to create jokes in a more natural and effective way.
