The Metz Foundation is a young European electric jazz trio composed of international musicians Alfredo Giménez (Spain), Tuomas Ruokonen (Finland), and Joël Metz (Luxembourg). At the heart of their music lies the belief in the power of mixing cultures. The bold sound of The Metz Foundation is inspired by their shared passion for music rooted in the Afro-American tradition and improvisation, while staying true to the distinct influences of each of its members. This fusion results in a collective body of music that forms a raw, electric, and danceable sound.
