The Time For Equality association is offering a conference with poignant testimonies from First Nations delegates from British Columbia, on Indigenous children who are victims of the residential school system and the phenomenon of (MMIWG) in Canada. The objective is to highlight the link between colonization and systemic discrimination, abuse and violence against women and children, and the trauma that still affects First Nations and Inuit people in Canada today. Concrete courses of action will be discussed in order to overcome trauma and pursue a real process of awareness and reconciliation.

The conference will feature excerpts from Bea Silver's book, former teacher, author, and founder of the Sts'elemqw Thrivers Society, which will be read. Finally, a fashion show by Lyn Kay will close the evening.
