As part of the Villerupt Italian Festival, these two films will be screened at the Kufa (one at 6:30 p.m., one at 8:30 p.m.) on November 5.
**Screening at 6:30 p.m.: Un altro Ferragosto:** Ventotene, August 1995. The holidays are coming to an end and Cecilia (Laura Morante) confesses to her partner Sandro Molino (Silvio Orlando), a journalist at L'Unità, that she is expecting a child. In the present day, this child, whose name is Altiero (Andrea Carpenzano), goes to the island with her husband, an American model. Altiero wants to give one last satisfaction to his father, who is seriously ill. To do this, he invites Sandro's friends to Ventotene for a last summer together.
Although he is a trendy communications professional, he is unaware that at the same time the island is preparing to celebrate the wedding of the media-savvy Sabry Mazzalupi (Anna Ferraioli Ravel). She is none other than the daughter of Ruggero, a Roman merchant whose lack of manners and cynicism had exasperated Sandro 28 years earlier.
**Screening at 8:30 p.m.: L'Ordine del Tempo:** A group of friends who meet in a villa by the sea to celebrate a birthday, must face an existential question: what would we do if the end of the world were imminent? This question, initially theoretical and macabre, becomes a real threat. Faced with this terrifying news, time seems to change: it becomes fast or still.
During this summer night, everyone reacts differently to the uncertainty and urgency of an unfulfilled life, revealing secrets, regrets and hopes.
