Architectures recyclées : faire du neuf avec de l’ancien
Imagine this: just like you don’t throw away glass, paper or clothes, but reuse them or take them to a recycling center to be transformed so that others can use them again, architects don’t always build their buildings only with new materials. They can also use old elements to create something new. And this is very important, because unfortunately, our Earth has limited resources and we consume way too much of them! At this rate, there may not be enough left for you when you grow up…
But don’t worry! Many people are actively working to make us throw away less and find smart ways to reuse materials as many times as possible. This principle is called the “circular economy”: instead of being thrown away, objects are repaired or transformed and then reused to create something new.
Did you know that architects recycle materials like steel, aluminum, copper, wood, even concrete and tiles from old buildings to renovate existing constructions or create new ones?
As this is very important to protect our planet and our future, LUCA invites you to a special day to discover the principles of this “circular economy” and create your own projects by building something new with recycled materials.
We will start with the screening of the animated film "The Lorax". Are you curious to find out what it is about? Come and let yourself be surprised!
