Bebey Prince Bissongo is an heir of a great musical family from Burkina Faso. A brilliant guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, author, composer, and performer, he is one of the most original artists in current Burkinabe music. His compositions draw from the traditional rhythms of Burkina and West Africa as well as modern urban music.

The concert takes place on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Foundation Chrëscht mam Sahel – Christians for the Sahel, which supports the development of underprivileged populations in rural areas in Burkina Faso and Senegal.
