Vandalium is the hilarious and chilling story of a system breaker who, from a young age, seeks to escape his traumatic environment. Ultimately, he only aspires to be "a real boy", but even the blue fairy cannot prevent him from falling into ultraviolence. The author attempts to give voice to a group living on the fringes of Luxembourg society, within its material comfort and emotional certainties. To do this, Tullio Forgiarini draws on his experience as a teacher in direct contact with the "subject" of his discussion. This duality of "inside and outside" creates a captivating tension in the eyes of the jury.
