Founded in 2012, the Vision String Quartet quickly established itself as one of the best string quartets of its generation. With their unique ability to navigate between the classical repertoire of the string quartet and their own compositions in genres such as folk, pop, rock, funk, or minimalist music, Florian Willeitner (violin), Daniel Stoll (violin), Sander Stuart (viola), and Leonard Disselhorst (cello) have set new benchmarks in the quartet world. The four musicians studied chamber music with the Artemis Quartet at the Berlin University of the Arts and with Günter Pichler, the first violinist of the Alban Berg Quartet, at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. Recent highlights include tours in Japan, Australia, and Korea, with performances in the renowned concert halls of Tokyo, Kyoto, Sydney, Melbourne, and Seoul. Other highlights of the 23/24 season have been collaborations with Swedish jazz pianist Joel Lyssarides, Iranian-Austrian jazz guitarist Mahan Mirarab, and percussionist Bernhard Schimpelsberger.
