“Nancy-Kabylie” by Dorothée Myriam Kellou is a moving story that addresses the themes of memory, exile and uprooting. Through the author’s eyes, we discover her journey to understand her father’s Algerian roots and the consequences of French colonization. The book traces her family’s experiences, including forced displacement during the Algerian War. Kellou invites us to reflect on identity and dual cultural belonging, while paying tribute to the resilience of those who have experienced these ordeals.
