"Wicked" follows the journey of the legendary witches of the Land of Oz. Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood due to the unusual color of her green skin, does not even suspect the extent of her powers. Alongside her is Glinda who, as popular and privileged as she is, does not yet know the true nature of her heart. Their meeting at Shiz University, in the fantastic world of Oz, marks the beginning of an unlikely but deep friendship. However, their relationship with the Wizard of Oz will strain this friendship and see their paths diverge. While Glinda, thirsty for popularity, is seduced by power, Elphaba’s determination to stay true to herself and her surroundings will have consequences as unfortunate as they are unexpected. Their extraordinary adventures in the Land of Oz will eventually lead them to fulfill their destiny by becoming the Good and Wicked Witch of the West, respectively.
