A carnival mask for the Fuesent!

In Luxembourg, the "Fuesent" (the carnival) begins at Candlemas. It reaches its peak on Fat Thursday, Carnival Sunday, and the two days following, namely Carnival Monday and Tuesday. Strictly speaking, the "Fuesent" lasts until Ash Wednesday, but it is often celebrated until the middle of Lent Sunday.
What is a key element of the Fuesent? Dressing up! Therefore, children aged 6 to 12 can, on Saturday, February 15, create their own "Bokenmask" in the form of an animal with the help of our mediator. To do this, patterns will first be transferred onto felt, then cut out and assembled either by sewing or gluing. Each child can take their personalized mask home, ready for the next carnival ball!
