Photography Exhibition: The Climate Exploration Through the Lens of Christophe Jacrot
We are honored that Christophe Jacrot has chosen the Subtile Gallery in Luxembourg to showcase his magnificent photographs. Christophe Jacrot is a French photographer known for his dramatic and evocative imagery that often explores themes of nature, urban landscapes, and the interplay of light and weather. His work is characterized by a unique aesthetic that captures the mood and atmosphere of different environments.
It is imbued with a unique sensitivity and a touch of mystery, truly reflecting a climate rhapsody. The formidable landscapes he captures, steeped in romance and emotion, promise an unforgettable visual experience for all who encounter them. Christophe has long celebrated what he calls "bad weather," yet he mourns the effects of climate change. "The climate is collapsing around us," he asserts, expressing nostalgia for "normal bad weather." Rather than succumbing to sensationalism, he adopts a quotidian, aesthetic, and narrative approach, aspiring to be a "climate archaeologist" documenting a changing world.
Christophe has published several photography books and has exhibited his works in many galleries worldwide, recently in Geneva, Paris, and New-York. His work has been praised for its artistic depth and technical skill.
This exhibition will showcase a curated collection of his most impactful works, inviting you to experience the unique beauty of our environment as seen through his eyes. Each photograph offers a moment of reflection and a deeper appreciation for the world around us such as Siberia, France, USA, Japan, Norway, Iceland.
