Don Suisse - Switzerland helps with reconstruction
During the Second World War, the Swiss Federal Council founded, on February 25, 1944, the relief organization Don suisse for the victims of the war, whose primary goal was humanitarian aid in the devastated parts of Europe. The Comité d’Action suisse pour le Luxembourg also committed from 1945 in the totally destroyed Echternach with tractors and "Schwäizer Buden." The lecture outlines the until now unknown involvement of Swiss aid organizations in Luxembourg during the reconstruction.
