In 2001, Lorie released her very first album "Près de toi" which sparked the Lorie Mania for thousands of fans. What better occasion than this milestone to celebrate the vast career of the singer with 8 million records sold.
Adored and surrounded by Adé, Bilal Hassani, Brö, Kalika, and Piche, Lorie shares her legendary songs. Accompanied by Pierre-Laurent Faure, they worked together with mutual admiration and personal fulfillment to recolor the notes, digitize the sounds, and reinvent the words.
"When I saw all these young artists telling the media that my songs truly rocked their childhood, I was pleasantly surprised and moved. That's how I got the idea for this project. What a pride to be able to share my songs with these artists whose personalities and music touch me.
I'm impressed by this new generation, the multitude of worlds they create around their respective projects, and the autonomy and determination they display.
They are all very different, and I'm touched to see that my albums could be a common point between them. They themselves chose their favorite songs from my repertoire, and we mixed our musical worlds to create original and unusual songs. "I need love", "Play", "2lor en moi", "Sur un air latino", and "Je serai (ta meilleure amie)", these well-known tracks now sound like new, 2024 versions!"
From the first listen, this new project is a real rejuvenation but also a journey back to the future for all those who knew the singles CDs, Starclub, and Hitmachine. This whole generation of baby 90s for whom knowing Lorie's songs by heart is as trendy as wearing cargo jeans or a peach skin sweatshirt.
