World Brain is an artist known for exploring themes of connectivity, technology, and human experience through inventive music. The latest album, "Open Source," released on November 1st, 2024, via Mansions and Millions, builds on the themes of previous works, including the 2019 album Peer 2 Peer.

This new album broadens World Brain's stylistic scope, blending bedroom pop with jazzy, cinematic influences and reflecting transitions in the artist's life, including moving from Berlin to Paris and Brussels. Tracks like "Fromage collatéral" are inspired by jazz greats like Dave Brubeck, while others such as "cAPTCHA" evoke nostalgic software sounds paired with organic instrumentation, including woodwinds and contributions from artists like Molly Lewis and Martha Rose.

A standout feature of "Open Source" is the use of French lyrics, sung by World Brain's sister Noémie, on songs like "Ville fleurie" and "Minute papillion." These tracks capture the album's central theme: finding peace and joy in discovery and embracing the present moment.
