Cerith Wyn Evans Neon After Stella - Conference
The works Neon after Stella are a neon interpretation of the series Black Paintings begun by the American painter Frank Stella in 1958. Cerith Wyn Evans considers the original canvases as a kind of score that he plays by transcribing it into another visual and spatial register. Like most of the works presented in the exhibition, these large luminous screens are suspended, allowing visitors to walk around and see through them.
