By Zoe Stillpass. The "Neon after Stella" works are a neon interpretation of the "Black Paintings" series started by American painter Frank Stella in 1958. Cerith Wyn Evans views the original canvases as a kind of score that he plays by transcribing them into another visual and spatial register. Like most of the works in the exhibition, these large luminous screens are suspended, allowing visitors to walk around and see through them.
