The Metz Libraries-Mediatheques celebrate the 9th edition of the Reading Nights focused on heritage themes, driven by the National Book Center. Join us in the mediatheques from January 24th to 26th for an exciting program of twenty events: shows, concerts, author meetings, readings, activities, and workshops. Free program for all audiences. Free entry, except for limited-seat activities which require registration.

At Sablon Mediatheque
> Friday, January 24
2 PM-4 PM: The Little Reading Champions
13th national reading contest for primary schools.
Text excerpts by CM1 students from Sainte-Thérèse school.
Open to all

At Agora Mediatheque
> Saturday, January 25 - open from 10 AM to 9 PM
10 AM-12 PM: In the Little Mouse's Workshop
Parent-child animation with puppets and books on a reading mat.
Children 3-5 years, registration required.

10:30 AM-12:30 PM: Writing Workshop
Write on the theme of memory and cultural or family heritage.
Adults from 15 years, registration required

11:30 AM, 3 PM, 5 PM (45 min): The Statue of Liberty… seen by clowns
Show with storyteller Francis ALBIERO and ULTRASON the clown.
Open to all from 6 years, registration recommended

2 PM-4 PM: Armeni’Miam: My Gâta Cake
Family workshop to make the traditional Armenian Gâta cake.

3 PM-5 PM: Living Libraries
Borrow a living book for a human experience.
Open to all from 12 years, registration required

5 PM (45 min): Our "literary madeleines"
Discussions about unexpected literary reunions.
Open to all from 15 years

6 PM: Meeting with Louise Bentkowski
Meet author Louise Bentkowski, winner of the Prix des Inrockuptibles premier roman.

8 PM (1h): Musical reading "These Fierce Soldiers"
Joël EGLOFF presents his latest novel about his father forcibly enlisted in the Wehrmacht.
Open to all from 12 years
