In the early 1950s, in the family garden by the Marne, Pierre begins constructing the replica of the Spray, the legendary yacht on which Joshua Slocum completed the solo circumnavigation that made him famous in 1895. His wife Geneviève and his son François are enrolled in this adventure. François, who just turned 11, is passionate about the project and the tutelary figure of Slocum, symbols of freedom. The filmography of Jean-François Laguionie continues to enrich with new works of total poetry, driven by a desire for learning, creativity, and personal enrichment in communion with others. Slocum and Me makes us experience a moving journey, as romantic as it is intimate. Suitable for ages 10 and up.
