Baptiste Herbin, an internationally renowned musician, was nominated for the Victoires du Jazz in 2013 for his first album "Brother Stoon" and received the Django Reinhardt Prize and the title of Musician of the Year 2019 by the Académie du Jazz. He has released four albums, including "Brother Stoon" (2010), "Interférences" (2014), "Dreams and Connections" (2017), and "Vista Chinesa" (2020), a tribute to Brazil. Herbin performs worldwide, collaborating with renowned musicians like Stefano di Battista and Roy Hargrove, and accompanied Charles Aznavour in 2014. As a dedicated educator, he conducts masterclasses around the world. His saxophone playing is recognized for its beautiful sound, traditional roots, and technical mastery, as noted by Jean-Pierre Jackson in Classica. In this concert, Herbin will perform the music of the Cannonball Adderley Quintet which included the great John Coltrane, Wynton Kelly, and Jimmy Cobb. This tribute to this legendary recording will bring together the best Luxembourgish and international musicians who will meet for the first time and perform this timeless music.
