The exhibition aims to present portraits of women committed to heritage protection in conflict, post-conflict, or crisis regions. Today, many architects, archaeologists, site guardians, museum curators, art historians, restorers, or artisans work on the field, often in challenging contexts, to safeguard monuments, sites, museums, places of worship, or collections threatened by war, climate change, or natural disasters. ALIPH and the Luxembourg Commission for UNESCO celebrate these talented and courageous women, guardians of our memory.
