Selected to participate in a cross-border residency proposed by the Rotondes, the City of Metz and BLIIIDA with the support of INTERREG IV Grande Région as part of the GRACE project, the Eddi van Tsui collective and the duo formed by Zohra Mrad and Damiano Picci took up residence at the Rotondes for the first time in December to work on their respective projects. At the end of their second week of residency, the artists presented to the visitors of Multiplica Lab an initial draft of their research.
The public is therefore invited to experience the immersive video and sound installation Island 2.0 by the Eddi van Tsui collective, as well as the introductory device for the creation of a digital audiovisual performance, _First AV, developed by Zohra Mrad and Damiano Picci. The reactions, questions and comments of the visitors will feed the artists' reflections for the rest of their residency in Metz, until the presentation of the advanced stages of each project at BLIIIDA in June 2025.
