Hailing from Lisbon, MAQUINA. has made a considerable impact on the Portuguese music scene since the release of their debut album, "Dirty Tracks for Clubbing," in early 2023, followed by "Prata" a few months later. Drawing inspiration from repetition/minimalism-centric styles such as krautrock and industrial techno, MAQUINA. fearlessly explores the boundaries of these genres by incorporating elements of rock and electronic music into their distinctive sound. On stage, the trio fully commits to authenticity and musicianship. Unlike many electronic bands that rely heavily on machines and programmed beats, MAQUINA. excludes the use of machines and clicks during their live shows. They prioritize the raw power of live instruments, delivering an electrifying experience that resonates with the audience on a deeper level.
