The Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra is a professional Czech ensemble specializing in American jazz, blues and dance music of the 1920s. It is considered one of the purest stylistically and most artistically convincing ensembles of its kind. Through the use of historical instruments, forgotten playing techniques and sophisticated arrangements, the orchestra's sound is unique, authentic and original. The orchestra was founded in 1974 by Pavel Klikar, a trumpeter, musicologist and expert in the field.
The Gramophoniacs are: swinging feet, nodding heads – debauched clubs and bars, shimmering halls and rooms – sweet sounds and loud grooves – other times, here and now – a band of musicians who live for swing in all its facets!
