KOMPROMAT is back! The mythical neo-post-punk duo founded by Vitalic, which we already welcomed during the Francofolies 2023 for a memorable concert, & Rebeka Warrior, will come to present their new project on the Kufa stage in February. On one side, Vitalic aka Pascal Arbez-Nicolas, who made a name for himself on the French underground techno scene since the late 90s. As Vitalic, he released the EP Poney on Gigolo in 2001, which quickly found its way into clubs. Since then, Vitalic has been releasing singles and EPs, developing his own unmistakable sound, and remixing for the likes of Daft Punk, Björk, and other big names. Rebeka Warrior, on the other hand, is not a blank page either - since the early 2000s, she has been half of the electroclash duo Sexy Sushi, where she not only refines the arrangements but also writes and sings the lyrics. She was also part of the group Mansfield.TYA, which is hard to categorize and finds its niche somewhere between chanson and post-punk. With KOMPROMAT, it's not the first time Vitalic and Rebeka Warrior have teamed up. Already in 2012, they worked on their first album Traum und Existenz. But KOMPROMAT now presents itself in a darker and even more mysterious manner. Inspired by the "old Berlin techno", they created ten tracks with staccato bass, unexpectedly interrupted and reconstructed by melodic synth constructions and the suave voice of Rebeka Warrior. One second you feel like crying, then embracing the world, all while dancing. Live, KOMPROMAT impresses not only with its big sound but also with lots of lights, lasers, and performances. They recently toured the French clubs, notably with a sold-out show in Paris.

SUPPORT ACT: DINA SUMMER: Dina Summer is the Berlin-based collaborative project between Kalipo and the DJ couple Local Suicide, led by Dina. This Greek-born artist, lending her voice and lyricism to reflection, started performing as a teenager on local radio stations, making waves as one of the first female DJs in Thessaloniki. She later moved to Berlin, where she met her husband and DJ/Producer partner Max to form Local Suicide. The third member of Dina Summer is Jakob aka Kalipo, born in Bavaria, who began his musical career as a founding member of the legendary German electro-punk band Frittenbude.

SUPPORT ACT: IPPON: Ippon, the French duo composed of Romain and Jordan, initially evolved in a range where psychedelic guitars meet synthesizers over rock rhythms. The EPs Velocity and Cultural, released in 2019 on the October Tone label, testify to this period. The productions of Ippon then take the time to mature throughout the recording of a first album with sessions spread over two years. The compositions move away from psychedelic guitars and become more electronic, more danceable, more animalistic. They are progressively constructed during completely free improvisation sessions where keyboards and drums intermingle with spontaneity.
