"Scar Phase", which pushes the boundaries of art. In the exhibition "Scar Phase", Corinne Goetz invites us to discover multiple stories of visible and invisible scars through a wide range of artistic expression. She combines traditional techniques, such as finely crafted oil paintings, with experimental collages and explores the limits of these art forms. The tension between tradition and innovation is at the heart of the exhibition. Classical supports, such as canvases, meet unconventional materials like advertising banners, whose industrial surface becomes the base for expressive painting. Here, she deliberately questions the definition and character of collages and associates them with traditional elements to create a dynamic fusion of the old and the new, the experienced and the uncertain. Each work is a dialogue between vulnerability and strength, between personal pain and social transformation. The theme of scars finds its counterpart in the breaking points of collage pieces, where cracks and layers become visible, in an imagery that is both materialistic and colorful. It's not only vulnerability that is thematized, but also the aesthetics that result from the process. "Scar Phase" shows diversity in every sense of the term: from large format oil paintings that tell intimate stories, to collages that incorporate everyday materials from a fund of personal images and advertising surfaces. The exhibition reflects the complexity of our world and invites viewers to reflect on the interaction between destruction and hope, the ephemeral and stability. The exhibition "Scar Phase" is a space for pause and reflection - a mirror of our times that shows us how to manage our personal and collective scars. It invites us to discover beauty in the cracks and make perceptible the hope for change with each brushstroke and layer of material.
