Carolina and Jason began playing together in spring 2023, united by their shared love of music and passion for performance. As a jazz duo, Carolina and Jason focus on creating an intimate and captivating atmosphere, blending elements of traditional jazz, blues, and bossa nova with modern sensibilities. Their repertoire includes a mix of classic jazz standards and contemporary arrangements showcasing their unique sound and improvisation skills.
Carolina Marcelino (vocals) is a singer with a rich, soft, soulful voice. Her musical education spans from classical piano at the conservatory to jazz. She complemented her passion for music with vocal performance courses and workshops with renowned professionals from the music scene and the Portuguese stage. Carolina brings a modern twist to classic jazz standards and a selection of songs showcasing her versatile talent.
Jason Kavanagh (guitar) is an experienced guitarist who has honed his craft over years of study and performances with various jazz ensembles. After completing his music studies at university in the UK, Jason spent several years in London playing with a variety of musicians and ensembles. He currently resides in Luxembourg, where he teaches guitar. His playing style reflects a deep understanding of jazz harmony and perfectly complements Carolina's vocals, resulting in a truly dynamic and engaging performance.
