Manternach to Wasserbillig relaxing pizza hike [14 km]

I promised we go Wasserbillig next so let's do that. Not the WB autopedestre what we have done many times before that is a bit boring.
This is a custom trail I just designed so expect some fun detours and bushwhacks on our way :
14km with a couple of ups and downs, nothing too hard. We start at the Manternach train station and hike our way down to Mertert, those who are in a hurry can already take the train back home from here. The rest of us will do a last 3 km completely flat hike next to the Mosel.
Once we reach Wasserbillig you can of course take the train back home or join us for a pizza in Pizzahut.
Match is next door so you can do your weekend grocery shopping as well on the way back home.
Since it's Saturday the Trier bus 303 is operating which stops by just the opposite side of Match so those who prefer Luxexpo instead of Gare Centrale can easily choose that (always at :24).
Start time: 12:45 Manternach Gare (take train RB 5633 leaving from Gare Centrale at 12:10 which just gets there by then). Those who come with car can just leave it at Manternach as there are regular trains back from WB.
End time: 16:30 max @ Wasserbillig (trains back :06 :35 :54)
No lunch break is planned, just eat before you come or on the train, we take the slow train anyway and there will be pizza at the end of the hike .

The weather should be sunny and cloudy but at least no rain, the temperatures will drop again so dress warm.

Departure: 12:45 Manternach Station (take train RB 5633 leaving Central Station at 12:10). End around 16:30 in Wasserbillig. Regular trains for the return: 06:35:54. No lunch break, pizza on arrival. Expected weather: sunny and cloudy, cool temperatures.
