In the loft of a dizzying New York skyscraper, Cinderella, the one who lives among the ashes, is under the control of her two half-sisters and her stepmother. One day, a beggar woman (in reality a fairy) arrives who rewards Cinderella for her warm welcome by giving her a ball outfit. During this ball, Cinderella falls in love with the Prince. She stays until midnight, at which time the spell fades. She leaves behind her slipper, which the Prince will use to find her. Will he continue to love her once the spell is broken? Inspired by Perrault's famous tale, Cinderella has become one of the greatest ballets in the repertoire.
