Alejandro Amenábar is a Spanish-Chilean filmmaker and composer. His first film "TESIS" (1996), won seven Goya awards. He followed with "OUVRE LES YEUX" (1997), which was adapted in the United States under the title Vanilla Sky. His first English-language film, "LES AUTRES" (2001), starring Nicole Kidman, was a global success. In 2004, "MAR ADENTRO" won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and over 60 other awards worldwide. "AGORA" (2009) was the most profitable film in Spain, and his latest film "LETTRE A FRANCO" (2019) was presented at Toronto and Saint-Sébastien. He received 17 Goya nominations.
