It can be said that nothing predestined this Thionvillais to become what he became. "I have sometimes been compared to a tree" (Université de Lorraine Press, 2022), traces the life of Jean-Marie Pelt, based on his writings, personal archives, and testimonies of those who knew him, thanks to the support of the Jean-Marie Pelt Centre in Rodemack.
A public figure well known to several generations, his memory was fading under the dead leaves. Yet he abundantly shared what mattered to him through interviews and autobiographical writings. His death in 2015 marked a halt to this humanistic and naturalistic reflection.
While waiting for the seeds he sowed to find their way, join Renaud Evrard, lecturer-researcher at the University of Lorraine, for a conference and discussion about this exceptional personality that Jean-Marie Pelt was.
