Following the mysterious death of a worker named Dorem Clery, filmmaker Werner Herzog embarks on an investigation. But the circumstances of this "whodunit" are not what they seem and lead to an existential meditation on the relationship between technology and creativity. About a Hero adopts a highly experimental cinematic approach that, by blurring the line between narrative fiction and documentary, probes the relationship between artificial intelligence and artistic creation. With a script generated by an AI model fed by Herzog's filmography, the film takes the form of a provocative exploration of the very concept of paternity/maternity and the authenticity of a work in the era of artificial intelligence.
