Following the sudden death of her father, whose conspiratorial ideas she did not share, his daughter inherits the patent for an experimental healing device he created. Initially very wary, she gradually becomes interested in the spiritual legacy left by her father. Between fiction and documentary, Invention is nourished by the archives of the late father of actress Callie Hernandez, staged here in an intimate, painful, absurd, and delightful quest. A hybrid object, Invention tells the story of mourning in its most whimsical developments, carried by writing from four hands between Courtney Stephens and actress Callie Hernandez, both of whom lost their fathers. A quest where shadows and objects strangely come to life.
