Hélène Cattet, Bruno Forzani, 86 min, 2025 - Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg. John D, a seventy-year-old living in a luxury hotel on the French Riviera, is intrigued by his female neighbor, who reminds him of the wildest times of the Riviera in the 60s. Back then, he was a spy in a rapidly expanding and hopeful world. One day, this neighbor mysteriously disappears... plunging John back into facing his demons: are his old adversaries back to sow chaos in his idyllic world? Within a highly-referenced universe, the spy film is reinvented, unfolding over two eras, depicting a life of once-glamorous dreams now faded. With ever-refreshing inventiveness, Cattet and Forzani craft a swift, epileptic film where death lays claim to the grandest of processions.
