Both deceased, Basilio and his mother embark on a spiritual journey through a landscape devastated by war. A criminal in his lifetime, Basilio must now relive his actions with his mother as a witness. Only through great sacrifices will they discover the redemption they seek. Horizonte is a visceral meditation on the decades of brutal conflict in Colombia. With an evocative visual program and a particular attention to ambient sound, the film creates an atmosphere both poetic and fierce, where despair and redemption coexist in a landscape marked by haunting beauty.
