Originally from Portugal and currently residing in Edinburgh, Scotland, Aurora works as an order picker in a vast warehouse. In the evenings, she returns to her shared accommodation, where everyone lives on different schedules, and to the alienating solitude of her room. One day, while having lunch in the canteen, she meets an equally isolated employee... Through sequences that resemble Groundhog Day, On Falling perfectly captures the essence of its title: depicting with astonishing accuracy, the downfall of its heroine, crushed by an inhumane system thriving on a workforce seeking a better life in northern Europe.
