After their chance encounter, Xia Yo, a businesswoman victim of an abusive husband, flees with Xu Zitai, a man condemned by illness. Together, they embark on a journey of physical and emotional liberation, tightly bound by desire and passion, navigating through an intense exploration of life and death. Adapted from the novel by Li Xiuwen (2003), "Bound in Heaven" follows an eminently romantic construction, infiltrating various moments of the same relationship, disrupted by a young man's illness and fueled by the heroine's passion. A unique love story that subtly conveys the major socio-economic movements of contemporary China.
