Alessandro CASSIGOLI, Casey KAUFFMAN, 80 min, 2024 - Italy Jasmine, a Neapolitan hairdresser in her forties, seems to have everything: a devoted husband, three sons, and her own hair salon. However, after her father's death, she is haunted by a recurring dream that ignites an intense desire to have a daughter. The second feature film by the duo Alessandro Cassigoli and Casey Kauffman, this intimate epic is all the more disturbing as it traces the real experience of a family, played by themselves. Filmed very close to the protagonists' faces, with an almost documentary approach and rushed editing, Vittoria fully embraces the visceral desire of its heroine.
