Originally from Portugal and settled in Edinburgh, Scotland, for some time, Aurora works as an order picker in a huge warehouse. In the evening, she returns to her shared apartment, where everyone lives at different times, and to the alienating solitude of her room. One day, while having lunch in the canteen, she meets another isolated employee... In the repetitive sequences he proposes, reminiscent of Groundhog Day, On Falling perfectly follows the theme of its title: portraying, with astonishing accuracy, the downfall of its heroine, crushed by an inhumane system that feeds on a workforce seeking a better life in Northern Europe.
