Jahia, 16 years old, is originally from Burkina Faso and lives in an asylum seekers center in the Belgian countryside. With no future prospects, Jahia is gripped by a fear of the future that isolates and prevents her from living fully. However, when Mila, a lively Belarusian teenager, arrives, a friendship quickly develops between the two girls, forever changing Jahia's life.

The story of an unlikely friendship between two young girls navigating their adolescence in a constant state of uncertainty. Director Olivier Meys addresses their asylum quest with sensitivity and nuance, highlighted by the magnetic performances of the two main actresses, both newcomers to the screen, who draw on their personal migration experiences to enrich their roles.
