Serge Tonnar performs here with two exceptionally versatile jazz musicians. Boris Schmidt on double bass is a master of groove - his calm yet unwavering presence gives the new sound the necessary depth. Michel Meis plays the drums like a melodic instrument: subtle, playful, and full of surprises. The self-taught Serge Tonnar on acoustic guitar completes the trio and lets his songs awaken in a fresh sound - with more space and pauses, a bit jazzy and easy-going, yet always interspersed with explosive instrumental passages.
