Based in Brussels, Adja defines her music as a sum of influences ranging from Erykah Badu to Lauryn Hill to Joni Mitchell, “with a fine touch of close harmonies from 70's Cuban music”. Just that! With her theatrical background and this tendency to make her voice fly like a magnificent multicoloured bird, the artist makes the groove of soul collide with the virtuosity of jazz, while bringing out the sublime from everyday experiences recounted in her lyrics. A cocktail perfectly perceptible on this neo-soul masterclass that is her EP “IRONEYE”, released in 2023.
