If ENOLA is originally from Australia (between Narm and Melbourne), its musical roots are in American grunge, shoegaze and English post-punk, with the common denominator being the wild energy that is released after being contained too much. The vocal presence of the singer, “at the crossroads of Alan Vega and Kurt Cobain”, perfectly transcribes the desires for elsewhere and the palpable frustration in the lyrics of the group's first EP, released in 2023 by Hell Beach. For fans of Shame, Idles and, closer to home, Structures.
