What could be better in spring than a bit of Garance Midi's music, a gentle wind in your hair, or on your head, throwing pebbles in the river, or on Place Léopold... With Garance Midi, the sincerity and joy of making music in a group have the obviousness and simplicity of the sun: the lyrics of Garance Giang Vo, a Franco-Vietnamese based in Brussels, follow one another like so many entries in her diary. Her unvarnished voice sits amidst instruments played by seasoned musicians, encountered in other Brussels projects such as Whoman or Robbing Millions. Together, they have created a little gem of bittersweet “chamber pop”, the EP “Dans la maison” (2024), the first step on a journey that will undoubtedly take Garance to the zenith of Belgian pop.
