From the age of 6, Billie, 22, with black bangs and curly eyes, sang and learned to play the piano with her musical family. Raised by the dream pop of the Cocteau Twins, the post-punk of the Joy Division and the experimental rock of the Velvet Underground, Billie also developed her sensitivity through contact with the unique voices of French icons, France Gall and Françoise Hardy. During a stay in England, she began to compose her first songs in French, which resulted in her first EP J'avance. Songs of desire (Amy), melancholy (Ami imaginaire, Parle-moi Parfois) and urgency (J'avance, La terre explose), both intimate and generational. The whole thing feels like an electric and controlled discharge, an adventurous French song, between rock, pop and punk, struck with a British irreverence.
