This year, as part of its traditional concert "Esou kléngt Wooltz", the Harmonie Grand-Ducale Municipale Wiltz, under the direction of Tom Braquet, welcomes the Luxembourgish trumpeter Ernie Hammes. Living in Eschdorf, he is not only a trumpeter but also an arranger, composer, singer, and big band leader, active in both jazz and classical music. A member of the Grand-Ducal Military Band of Luxembourg since 1987, he has collaborated with legends like The Supremes, Paul Anka, Chaka Khan, Youssou N'Dour, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. He performed in legendary clubs such as the Blue Note and Birdland in New York, as well as at renowned jazz festivals in Montreux, The Hague, and Toronto.
