First screening in Luxembourg
Join us on Thursday, March 27 at the Rotondes to discover the film VOLCAN, a documentary by Stéfanne Prijot.
A journey both extreme, from Chile to Patagonia, and intimate, that of a young woman who dares to question the burning issue of the relevance of human existence in the face of the world's brutality. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director.
Synopsis:
In Chile, forests burn, glaciers melt, and violence and inequalities are increasingly pronounced... Camila is a dancer and chinchinera in Valparaiso and, at 35, she questions the reason to give birth to a child in today’s world.
Because even though in her womb a desire for children has awakened, as for many young people today, the state of the world functions as an insidious contraceptive. Camila then shares her discouragement in the face of social and environmental inequalities and women's rights in her country, which still criminalizes abortion.
