Parting, Fusing, Telling: Deviating the narrative. From writing to voice
A collaboration between Mudam and Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain.
It is said that time erases everything until nothing is left. But what if time, before erasing everything, invented new things? In the second part of the workshop offered at Casino Luxembourg, the focus shifts from image to voice. Starting from the work "Main Station" by Eva L'Hoest, in which fragmented visuals are linked by sound into a sensory experience, participants will add a voiceover to the moving images previously generated as part of the workshop at Mudam. Through rhythm, repetition, and layered narration, they will build their own time pieces—works that unfold in cycles, shaped by abstraction and narration.
The workshop takes stories, myths, legends, and nursery rhymes from our childhood as a starting point and suggests rewriting them. The blanks, errors, and hesitations that creep in over time will be incorporated into the story and divert it. The aim is not only to tell a new story but also to reflect on our intimate and personal relationship with narrative or myth.
